Overnight we have seen two more of these air refueling aircraft damaged in Saudi-Arabia, about two weeks ago one crashed and the other was damaged over Iraq, with the loss of eight crew and now another twelve injured!

The C-135 was a 1954 concept and went into service in 1957, most of today adapted fleet are fifty years old and they may not be able to deal with new weapons enemy fire, but its pot luck with these Iranian missiles barrages, that Israel is experiencing hourly?

Since 1961 they have been had several adaptions made to them, as there is so many you can do your own research into the differing versions!

The aircraft are not armed, but they do operate at very great heights and so far they are only operated by France and the U.S.A?

It is easy to believe that the U.S. will back us up, but with the anti-Israel situation, we have lost curry favor already with the Donald.

Submarines and forces in Estonia may look good to the media, but when facing the Russian bear, many lives will be lost and this proud moment will lead to more memorials and duties for the British royal family to keep going???

With a crew of two and nine passengers it has multiple roles, but in the parachute version it can cram seventeen people in and for other operations, it has a STOL (Short Take-Off and Landing) capability making it very versatile?

There are at least two versions developed over the past twenty years the latter being up rated and able to handle in a better way than before, but both types are equally good aircraft and have both military and civilian usage and may the type continue perhaps with a two engine capability?

We are living in the age of drone warfare and ways to counter them, since they come in all sizes from a small aircraft to something that can be hand held and from firing a bullet to a large stand-off missile, rocket pods or bombs, right down to a grenade!

Israel is facing an onslaught from Yemen, Lebanon and now Iraq, while NATO is encouraging the Ukraine to use the basic ones on the Russians and the Iranian supplied ones on the Ukraine?

But as with all military type weapons, it will only be time before criminals and terrorists deploy them against the police and civilian targets in the U.K., U.S.A. and others, the scorpion always has a sting in its tail, and one cannot have a snake as a friend?

The McDonnel-Douglas F-15 Eagle has now a long service history with the United States Air Force and Israel and remains a very effective long rage capable fighter-bomber! 

Conceived in the late 1960's the type was side-lined for the F-4 Phantom, but by the time the Soviets had developed the MiG-25 Foxbat, the treat to NATO had escalated and the F-111 was not able to do what the Russians could, so the F-15 went into serious production, being supplied to Japan and Saudi-Arabia.

With a ceiling of 80,000+ feet she could match the Russians and a speed MACH 2.5 and a radius of 4600 Km it was ideal fro long missions that has suited Israel in the Middle-East region

Eventually the price at the pump will go up as shortages will come to the fore if Iran directly blocks the straits of Hormuz between Oman and Itself, causing a world crises that the International community will have to go to war with!

Today the field for the Jeep concept would seem to be limited to Range Rover, Mercedes, the Nomad and a few others in the U.S.A? 

But this is not true, there are dozens of better vehicles on the market from Spain, Israel, France and Russia, that are never mentioned on British television out of bias for friends!

The world of the utility vehicle for the armed forces, civil agencies Search & Rescue, Fire services, Ambulances, RNLI, Animal Rescue and Postal Deliveries, and a host of commercial purposes from fun to business is being fulfilled by nearly ever nation that has an automotive industry, some are adaptions of the original Willy's Jeep and others of the Land rover Defender and Shorts armored?

Israel and Spain have really gone to town in their conversions with base frame vehicles to giver the driver a full experience of being close to the ground! 

Many other designs deal with more of a practical use and yet there is also a fun element to enjoy driving?

The return to the moon is underway with a new space ship being constructed in the U.S. for a return mission and the establishment of a Moon Base and first human travel to Mars by 2030? The Trump administration believe that with the current technology available all of this can be achieved within the next eleven years!

Wither this is true or not by 2030 NASA hopes that the International Space Station ISS will be defunct and some of its component parts will be cannibalised for the Moon base? At this time there is n mention of reinstating the space shuttle programme which on paper still remains a viable proposal for inter-planetary travel!

Both China and Israel now have probes working on the Moon to gather much needed data on radiation exposure from the Suns solar flares and other problems that were discovered during the Apollo flights back in the 1970's!

Britain takes a lead in Electric Aircraft?

It would seem that the world is in a rush now to develop the electric engine in aviation and we here in the U.K. are making some leaps and bounds of our own? Norway, Poland, Israel and the U.S. have several of their own projects that we are hearing mush about, but so far they are limited in their viability!

Battery power has been around since the 19th Century, despite advances in Solar power cells and their adaption, the battery still remains the same in power outage and range! Space will perhaps help us replace the diesel engine, which has turned out to be more polluting than was once thought?

Yet about 85% of the worlds power is based on this engine alone, trains, trucks, farm machinery, construction and shipping! The task may look daunting but once electric engines are built on an industrial scale perhaps the world will be a cleaner place?

The need of a medical corps or the need to transport the ill to a hospital goes back millennium with pack animals and horses pulling a wagon of some type, but since the advent of the petrol engine many vehicles have been adapted for this role!

Today the Ambulance is a mobile medical centre, but remains limited and this depends in what country one may be ill in? In Israel and the U.S Emergency vehicles along with many European countries have some of the best state of the art facilities being enabled to treat on the scene thus saving time, money and lives!

Here in the U.K. much was made about the introduction of this new type of ambulance, but cuts have been made by the NHS and experience in one can be like being on a Merry-go-round? All emergency vehicles one believes should have four by four drive and be fairly stable, especially in the light of recent terrorist attacks here in the U.K. (England) this year?

About two years ago amateur astronomers noticed a unidentified flying object making regular orbits of the Earth, at first they thought it was a satellite in an inner orbit?

But that would mean it might collide at some point with the International Space Station, NASA then had to reveal it was a new type of mini Space Shuttle known as the X37.

Science fiction and the dupe of former U.S President Mr. Ronald Reagan had become a reality. In one of the James Bond films a recovery vehicle was deployed to capture satellites from both the Soviets and the Americans.

The X37 was being used to maintain damaged military reconnaissance equipment in lower orbit, if not replace or update. Speculation arose that Israel and NATO were probably also having a share in the U.S. Project?

The British Land Rover is one of the most prolific vehicles ever built, it has been exported world wide from its first conception as the Mark-1. The American Willey's Jeep was a great 4X4 in its own right, originating in 1927. 

But the British special forces needed an adaption to meet their own needs, there are in fact about a dozen takes on both the Jeep and the first Land Rovers that have seen widespread undercover service across the world.

Today the production of the long standing Defender has ended, but this is not the end of the Landie. Farmers, rangers, police, emergency services and many others will continue to use this vehicle for its tremendous capability. 

Exported to Australia and re-built as the 120, with a much longer chassis. Israel as the Dav'id APC and 87 other countries for various military roles.

Security and Paramilitary Vehicles. Part-One.

Armies tend to have heavy vehicles for serious fighting, but not all conflict situation develop into full scale wars and so to meet this need the police are armed. From Northern-Ireland to South-Africa and many other places from Colombia to East-Timor these specially adapted light armoured cars have been developed. 

Shorts developed a land rover into an small four wheel Armoured Personnel carrier, known as the Simba, which has seen service in various versions from the early 1970's to the present day, where they are now painted white.

During the 'Troubles 1969 to 1999 these vehicles were painted Grey and deployed to all riot situations, which of were of a sectarian or anti-British nature and the RUC had to keep the two sides apart, backed up by the British army. The vehicles sadly where no match in the countryside for IRA landmines.

Many of these vehicles have since laid the basis for the British Army Snatch Rovers deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan along with the Supa Cats. Meanwhile there are several different types exported worldwide one being the Dav'id used in Israel by the Border police.

Not the first to Try.

This solar powered aircraft that is attempting a world flight record is far from the first, in fact there have been longer distance flights made between A and B/Z in the past. These aircraft failed to attract the publicity that this one has got, for various reasons that are not worth going into.

Some commercial airlines have added solar power cells to the roofs of aircraft to charge batteries with some success, but nothing more has happened since. Now that Australia has fashioned the first commercial possibility of a car for mass production I suppose an aircraft is the next target.

Japan was for a time the leader in solar powered said technology on general shipping and perhaps this stop over has really some connection with that factor?

New Nations in Space.

China, India and Japan.

Japan landed a probe on a meteor, China has sent a man into space and a rover to the Moon, while on a first attempt India has reached Mars. These are some of the achievements of the new space ager's, there are many other nations such as Brazil, Iran, Israel, North-Korea and Pakistan who have regular military satellite launches and test their inter-continental ballistic missile programmes.

America, Russia and Europe are now being side-lined in space exploration, but there will always be a demand for many nations to visit the International space station. As technology progresses and the possibility of commercial flights come nearer, there will be more people wanting to achieve firsts.

Nigeria wants to be the first African country to joint the space race this century and by the end of it many more achievements such as bases on the Moon and Mars, if not further afield will have been made.
