Old bombers for Iran!

 From the 1960's B-52 to the 1990's B-2?

What fire power the USAAF are deploying is old kit perhaps with modern computer chip technology and new types of bombs like the buster ammunition's, but last time around in the twelve day war they were not as effective, as the U.S. president wanted everyone to believe!

Now with the introduction of the Stealth B-1 there is hope tthat hey the will do a better job that the aging B-52's and forty year old B-2's, but in their own right they are old too some fifty plus years and nothing really new has been invested in the bomber fleet over that time?

As to fighters, only the F-22 and F-35 are newer kit, perhaps with improved long-range drones such as the triton, which is limited to day-light operations!

The truth about the USAAF is that even its air refueling KC-135's were new in the Vietnam war, proving a lack of investment, but they may do a good job in breaking the missile power of Iran, but ending the religious fanatics is a different matter?

Battery powered Trains!

 Filling in gaps between Mainlines?

Beaching in some ways destroyed Britain's railway networks, because of lack of traffic in the 1960's without vision, but today many of these branch and freight lines are being returned to public use!

The battery powered train is the future here for all the new housing projects and the need to connect with other mainlines, as is already at play in west-London with trials completed a small line is now operational and many are to follow?

Only the Newcastle Metro has met the tram-rail as yet, but is to be soon met with the Cardiff city expansion to the valley lines to reinforce commuter traffic to the capital morning and evening and at the weekend for night life!

There are at least one hundred connection that could be made across the U.K. and N-Ireland, if not many other islands that have existing rail or tram lines?

London Underground after twenty Years!

Very little has changed with the Emergency Services?

Fifty two people died on the 7/7 2005 and four suicide bombers with 800 injured and over 1000 with psychological problems and in this period, even after Grenfell tower block fire the emergency services have not changed their policy and despite some coordination in communications another disaster would be the same!

The failure to improve is hard to understand and the lack of special equipment is sad, because its probably the Lord Mayors and the Government who refuses to finance this type of gear and vehicles?

It would seem in some cases life is of less value than others and tradition and routines refuses to modernize with the times and this is seen across many professions as people bury their heads in the sand to refuse taking responsibility!

Buses and Coaches!

 Disabled Access?

We tend to think and lump together the disabled to specialist vehicles, rather than the ordinary fleets that serve towns and cities across the U.K., because of lack of investment!

Most vehicles are designed for the able bodied and they are up to day with technology and comfort, but they are limited to wheelchair access and other to deal or share with those who are disabled?

We want and claim from time to time that we live in an equal society, but that is not true if you are in a wheelchair or struggle to walk or move in a able way!

The lack of investment is common in all forms of transport and yet crossing into Europe it is a different attitude, with provision being made for all on a equal basis and an ever improving set of vehicles and fleets of all type of transport!

Shipping.

 Greatest developments so Far!

Shipping is now slowly moving from electro-diesel to all electric power, with more ease than expected, Norway, and South-Korea are leading the way from island ferries to container shipping. It is kind of ironic that a crude oil tanker be powered by an electric engine?

Governments are desperate to cut the elusive carbon emissions, but this is a world political choice that all are following at this time and so much is seemingly appearing to be done, while it is not known how much carbon is burned every time a rocket is launched into Space?

Icebreakers, military warships and submarines continue to be built and powered along with aircraft carriers by nuclear engines, which produce steam to drive conventional engines that remain semi-Diesel and no changes are being planned for the rest of the fleet smaller vessels?

Transport for Wales!

Teething Problems?

The take over of the Arriva contract does not seem to have solved much for rail in Wales, and neither has the weather? Flooding and landslides with the recent and more expected heavy rains will cause more problems, on top of lack of new stocks and bad management?

Wales has always had the backend of British Rail and now into privatization little has changed!

Cheaper fares in competition with the bus services will make for a cleaner faster journeys between the big cities of the capital Cardiff and Swansea.

But the valleys and further afield will continue to suffer from lack of stock allocation and overcrowding, much is promised by the Welsh government and one has just to wait and see and hope that not all will be disappointed again?

Management and the past removal of track to the major ports of Pembroke and Fishguard for freight was unwise, putting more of a strain on the roads? The lack of vision is another issue to do with the bottlenecks of the M4 between Cardiff and the Servern crossing?

Railways Infrustructure!

Investment well overdue?

Britain is seeing a revolution in its railways from newlines to stations and ticketing, but the older stock is still a problem to shift on as new trains are being introduced? Line re-building and repair is taking up valuable time and cutting in to shedual but it is hoped that there will be enough equipment purchased to cover the long term investments being now in place?

London despite much new ideas, Cross rail and extensions, new stock and planning, still is suffering from lack of investment! Brexit is not helping the economic climate and there is a lack of initiative by the London Mayors to ask for the money!

The other cities in the U.K. are pressing on with trams as the future, we can be critical that they should not have stopped but the new lines are far more versatile than what was in place before? The introduction of electric vehicles will be an ever needed factor in our future transport needs, cutting carbon emissions from fossil fuels now in the advent of the end of the Diesel engine!
