Mars and Venus?

 Wonderful Images!

The new Mars lander and helicopter are returning some wonderful images of the red planet, while Russia has allowed its Venera films to be digitized showing an alien landscape with sound and lightning!

But there is more to come in relation to Venus a probe on the way to the Sun has seen cloud breaks at night, seeing into the mountains and some surfaces that are not volcanic, meanwhile the Mars probe is cleaning up its landing site of debris and possible use of it at a later stage?

Many of the features on Mars seen by this rover are very clear and some stones look as if they were cut by hand, as in masonry, others show that they are pummas in origin from a volcano?

But new science discoveries from Russia may be changing the long held origin of crater's from impact, to the idea that many were created by underground gas mounds that rise and push the ground up into giant mole hills before they explode throwing material several hundred meter's!

They have also discovered that sink type holes in Northern Siberia contain compressed materials, that may also be on Mars too, and that they contain materials that are more rare and invaluable than all the oil in the Persian gulf and gas in Siberia?

Return to Mercury and Venus!

Lots going on in Space?

Recently we had a second Moon orbiting the Earth, but I think has now left and is heading away!

It is nothing new with planets and their gravitational fields, many believe that Triton was captured by the gravity of Neptune and may be more of a minor planet such as Pluto and as we know now its many cousins (136) of them on the outer edge of our expanding Solar System!

But now we are off to Mercury and Venus once more, exploring the two inner planets may reveal that Venus is not as hot in the polar regions as once thought by the Soviet Russians who landed their rovers for eight-minutes before they melted.

Mercury has what seems to be ice or frost layers in its craters, despite being the closest object to the Sun! But these could equally be salts exposed by past bombardment?

Space X is progressing well with dockings to the International Space Station, but as yet not crewed? One more unmanned test is to be made, as the Russia claims that the U.S. is trying to capture planets in our Solar system and make them American!

If there is anyone out their, I think they will still not be bothering with our primitive world and its failure even to cooperate with millions to die from this COVID-19 Virus?

Last days of Cassini!

Space, 'Big Bucks?

It will be the travelling into inner space in the next fifty years that will encourage big bucks and business for Virgin and the many who will follow with their Space planes?

Robotic Space craft Cassini is now ending its life travelling around the gas giant Saturn and its rings for the last fourteen years, before it makes the final death plunge on the 15th of September?  It was one of a series of probes which has lead the way to the New Horizons to Pluto and the Kuiper Belt, and Juno has now arrived at Jupiter to make an in depth study of this gas giant the largest planet in our Solar System.

A new rover is planned to visit Venus and another Robotic car for Mars, which will tell us if it is really viable to have a human occupied base there? Humanity is a curios species, we have always like to know what was over the hill and that is how we have spread out across Earth!

Human settlement for the Moon and Mars is the goals for this century, but mining will probably we one of the ultimate goals for our race, as we move more and more into the computer age?

Space Exploration. Part-Two.

2015 A great Year.

A British man in Space, the July Pluto flyby, Pictures from a Comet and Mars seen from three views. Most people don't even bother looking up at the sky, day or night. Sometimes its the occasional drunk who claims to have seen more than one Moon!

But for may others it is the closet that we will perhaps for some time yet get into space? Just a pair of Binoculars and you open your eyes to see ponderous things, from nearby planets to distant stars and galaxies.

One may also see the International Space Station and other man made objects. The Moon is the nearest object to view, we only see one side of it  because it does not rotate. Venus and Mars are next, followed by the gas giants, Jupiter, and Saturn.

Other wise we can visit the Indian, European, Russian and NASA websites to see the feast of what these many robotic craft are doing in space and on Mars.
