Many nations are trying?
Sometimes I think environmental groups can or are being to hard on those who are trying to introduce battery powered vehicles into their fleets such as TFL (Transport for London and Royal Mail)?
This new technology will take time as both NASA and Boeing say that they too have now entered the race with Embraer in Brazil! But what we are not hearing in the west is what is happening in China and Russia in this technology?
The protest currently in the U.K. are trying to wake up people to the serious situation that pollution is now going to cause, if we do not stop wanting our independence with the car and the petrol engine?
There are many areas not being mentioned in the media re-the burning of oils in their various forms and their emphasis has been on plastics another product of petroleum! Banks and investments need to be exposed if we are ever going to get on top of global warming in relation to human activity?

Electric Locomotion!
Lack of investment?
Electricity costs and the infrastructure needed to build and maintain is not affordable to many countries around the world, in some cases even in the U.K. money is being held back in Wales to undercut the future of business and trade for unknown reasons?
Meanwhile the Diesel engine continues to rule the roost in the haulage of freight world-wide, because it is cheap and easy to work. Locomotive engines are improving all the time and the data on pollution varies from region to region worldwide, leaving one to wonder what is the real truth to the whole global warming situation!
Perhaps the taking off the road of trucks on to rail might cut the burning of fuel and relieve road traffic in towns and cities, but it is unknown if this is viable as it would logically seem to be?

Research Ships?
A plastic and Nuclear Ocean!
Nearly every nation that has access to the Sea or to large bodies of water will have their own fleet of survey vessels and research ships. But what they are used for remains ''hush, hush'' in most cases apart from the obvious?
Nuclear dumping and plastic waste in the oceans needs regular monitoring, but there is also concern as to why the crust under the oceans is warming up! This has been a sudden change in recent years and is part of the climate change debate, rather than smog an the established facts of the Sun?
Much research is also made in relation to mining and the discovery of oil and gas fields, now that we are running out of fossil fuels on the land masses! These vessels come in all sizes and shapes and some are equipped with helicopter decks for re-supply and also work in the Polar regions!
Data collected can be sent via the Internet back to their respective countries for collation and analyses.

First all electric Plane!
New Israeli Design.
This new aircraft will be the first all electric powered, some would say that this cannot be a new idea? Idea yes their are many, but it would seem that this is to be the first to get off the ground with one type already built and ready for testing?
The reason is simple, the price of crude oil is becoming unpredictable to purchase because of so much fluctuation on the world markets? The other that we need to change our mind set in relation to climate change and global warming and find another available power source?
If this design gets flying and works, we will have entered a new revolution in aviation, which will go on to replace perhaps the continued need for fossil fuels apart from uranium for the Nuclear industry and Space flight?

Happy New Year.
Future concepts.
This is the last day of 2013, tomorrow a New Year begins and with it will come the revelation of new designs and concepts in all types of machines. New engines will be developed, some will be revealed to us, while others are going from the minds of great thinkers to paper. Meanwhile other ideas are nowin the process of being built.
Some of these will be for the military around the world, more effective and better ways to kill. While others are being adapted for civil use and to benfit humanity.
The race to Mars is now hotting up and many new nations are joing the space race. Some of these appear to be okay, but others may have a more sinister motives?
Will we see a replacement to the NASA space shuttle soon, will more electic cars be built, will we find alternative energies and how many nations will be running after the resouces on the north pole, as the 400 year warming cycle is now underway?
