Future!
Britain has now lost its once great empire, but it still has many territories and some have a great strategic value such as the Falklands! Britain still has many interests and NATO commitments?
But now the European Union are set on creating its own armed forces in a united Europe, confirming much speculation over the years!
The EU already operates under the humanitarian flag in the Arabian sea between Yemen and the Horn of Africa protecting shipping from Somali piracy, as well in the Mediterranean in connection with Libyan refugees being smuggled and abandoned at sea!
But a land army is a much different matter, will this see the end of N-Atlantic pact? Relations between Europe and the U.S are now at an all time low and we have to make up our minds who we will be with in the future?

New Aircraft Types.
Over Southern-Wales, U.K.
Aviation, shipping and train spotting remain great hobbies for the choice of designs or types to be seen. Many countries have varied types of stock still in active operation for years past their date of service?
But with aircraft there are many new types coming into service or some are already in mainstream service, but are replacing some older types in this region of operations.
When I heard that Irish airlines Aer Lingus was going to purchase two Sukhoi Super Jets, I was not sure if this was a practical joke, but now that they are in service on the Dublin-Cardiff and other routes one awaits the opportunity to film the type.
Meanwhile the Embraer 170/190-5, Airbus A350 and Bombardier 6000 (being used by Swiss Air) is over flying the region. Some older types such as the McDonnel-Douglas MD-11F, Boeing 757 and 767 remain in service.

Buses and Coaches. Part-Two.
100th Anniversary.
For many towns and cities across Britain and Ireland this year marks the 100th Anniversary of the introduction of the firsts bus services. One-hundred years ago they were limited to their range of operation and were in competition with the trams.
Buses had the advantage of going were the tram could not and also the ability to change routes. Today buses are designed for short stop and start between stops, where as the coach is for longer travel and less stopping and starting.
Both means of transport are used world wide today and are the back bone of many underdeveloped countries around the world. We in the western nations tend to get the latest models and various variations, but across the globe our older models soldier on doing the same job they once did on our streets and motorways.
