Cyclist mini-towing micro Accommodation!

 Home-builds more common than Ever?

People are now finding it too expensive to get overnight accommodation and if they can, it may not be quiet as one would expect, budget or luxury!

So many are turning to the micro homes that are for sleeping and preparing a basic meal or keeping out of the rain and other bad weather or just a rest from Cycling?

Many of these designs are no more than 2 meters long and one or just over four feet wide and have a gas burner, with flew, while having various electrical connections for a outside shower, toilet and others, while the weight empty for the road should be less than 8.5 Kilos and pulled by a E-Bike of individual choice?

Not many make the remit of having cooking facilities, three windows and a door and storage for bedding, coats and basic cloathing, radio, laptop, camera, and batteries, and other connections for powering up and limited lighting!

Cruise liners hive for Germs?

The allure of the Seas, Rivers, Lakes, Canals?

Many people enjoy that luxury cruise a once in a life time experience or an addiction to the life style?

What many people do not realise is that many of these boats have a quick turnaround of passengers or clients and despite the best efforts of the underpaid cheap labour crews to clean not all is and so the possibility of cross-infections are high!

The companies will probably be in uproar with me saying this but I know the truth, since many members of my own family have worked on shipping around the world and some of them are truly unbelievably filthy, even at the best of times!

After this SARS COV-2/COVID-19 business is over, the world will have to be a different place and separation of people will be something of an issue? Since no vaccine or cure has yet been found and this may linger for another year with what ever else is going on, a mutation of this germ is highly possible and those smoking or who have underlaying issues such as addictions to narcotics, alcohol and lung infections could or will die!

Rail and Tram Options. One.

Road-rail and Trams.

The introduction of the tram in nearly every city in Britain, has been a welcome sign of something that was lost in the 1950's. The tram was very much part of British culture in relation to its cheapness and popularity, and for many a sad loss to see go?

Today urban planning is dominated by the car, bus and coach, because they are not limited by track or overhead wiring. Many conversions are now being introduced from petrol/diesel to electric engines, which for now are claimed to reduce carbon emissions?

There is still the alternative in between form of transport, which for some unknown reason has not been tried and that is the road-rail vehicle which could offer the best of both worlds?

Volksvagen Camper Vans. Part-Two.

Pleasure to Icon.

The VW brand has a shaded history in the twenth-century and has now come in for more dishonesty in relation to its cars having the abilty to give false readings. I expect we will be hearing more about this for a long time yet, because many manufacturers are telling lies about the performance of their machines!

Todays models of the classic camper are far more advanced and one feels that something has been lost in the box designs compared to that of the 1950', 60's vehicles. VW originally developed this van for its West-German paramilitary police in several chassis versions and all were based on World War-II ideas to improve thier amphibious scout car.

In 1946 the iconic shape was developed to run along side that of the Beattle car and they both were extremly sucessfull in taking the world market for sales.

The main reason being both had simple constructed engines that were easy to fix and manintain and the parts were also cheap.

Police Aviation. Part-Two.

Helicopters to Drones.

The drone is the cheapest alternative available at this time to the helicopter! We see in the many Sci-Fi films police forces of the future using various types of drones to overfly, to get in close and go places that only insects and small animals can go.

The drone will not totally replace aircraft, but will perhaps be the new dog or security camera that is much more mobile for the future.

The police now employ many new techniques in fighting crime in the large metropolitan cities and in time these methods will work their way down to the smaller towns and rural communities.

The loss and failure of these robotic craft will not be as expensive and they will be easy and quick to replace.

Trams for Wales.

Cardiff Proposed.

The return of trams to the capital Cardiff is under consideration, wither it will happen or not who knows? But trams for Swansea and many other large towns with hills would be a viable transport need worth looking into.

Since it was Swansea where the concept of the first tram and tramway were born! Today the re-introduction of light rail across the United Kingdom and the British isles has been very profitable as has world wide.

Simple to run and attractive to the eye, they fill the gap between buses and mainline trains or metro/tube systems.
