'Lets do the Locomotion?

U.S. tariffs will mean for Trains!

It seems a good idea to the U.S. to bring home jobs for heavy industries, but will it really work in 2025 or be the cause of more problems and broken promises as last time around to the Ohio dust belt?

The building of locomotives is not what it was and now with many nations going electric, there is no demand for Diesel and the dirt that they produce, meanwhile Africa is looking to China for conventional engines, because they are cheaper!

In the U.K. we face loosing our Scunthorpe Chinese owned steel mills and many rail projects may go under or come to nothing?

When these import taxes hit, we may need to start to look to Europe or the far-east for a Class 66 replacement, since many were built in Canada

Airbus has saved the Day?

Jobs in N-Ireland are safe for now?

The PM made a mad rush to the EU to save Canadian plan maker jobs in East-Belfast, but one has to wonder at what cost? From this one move it looks like we will be staying in the EU after all and our media is telling us a pack of crap lies?

Airbus on the other hand will want to develop this aircraft into its own portfolio and eventually make it its own! The question still remains, will it be able to break into the U.S. market as being hoped for or will the U.S. President Trump continue to increase import taxes?

Now you know what it is like to have a good idea and find that you invention can be blocked by others, who believe it to be a threat to their economy or business and how political pleading can overrule elections and the will of the people?
